First inhouse Art show June 25th 2011

Well I did it.  I sent out the invites and had several friends come by to view my art and jewelry.
What fun it was to see folks in my home and listen to them as they enjoyed looking at the things I have created.
I hope this can be an annual event.
Then my husband turned me on to a new Art Studio in SE Portland called The Violet Flame Art Studio.
The owner and artist Suzanne Stewart met me on Monday at the studio for a visit and also to view my work.  What a nice lady and talented artist.  She does a lot of different things.  Glass beads, painting are just some of the things she does.  Suzanne is very excited about her shop and has a lot of plans.
I loved her energy and excitement.
So much fun in one day as I also ran by the Friends of the Library's pop up store on 801 NW 23rd.  I didn't have enough time to do much looking around but next time will plan on spending more time there.
My last day of vacation is tomorrow what will the day bring.  Oh if only I didn't have to go back to work.  Well we can dream can't we.

Wild women Totes

For the lover of shoes this one fits the bill.

This one is for the lover of fine wine, good food and time with friends.
This one is for a good friend of mine.

This one will end up on a tote for the gardener.
I have changed up the colors a bit as the blue struck me as too dark.
I can't believe how many of my friends enjoy these totes.  Of course each one has a different theme to go with the hobbies or things people enjoy doing. LouiseB

If you can't find it at the store make it yourself

My polymer clay red high heel shoe.
I search a couple of stores and could only find one small high heel shoe patch.  No buttons nothing for embellishing my fun totes; nothing.
I think it turned out pretty well for my first try.  LouiseB.

More Cards

This suns background is the cutout of the original paper.  With a red background it adds depth.
This card is like looking through a window shaped like a butterfly.

I never get tired of making cards.  Keep in mind they are not flat like normal cards.I love to make them dimensional......LouiseB.

New Tote Design

Here is a photo of my latest Tote design.  Of course the edges are beaded and the Lady is my original art.
I lost one drawing to the glueing process.  But we only learn by not giving up and thank goodness for multiple copies. This one should probably be called "Shoe Diva" I have three other designs that I have given to girlfriends.  Knitting & sewing, Cooking, and Wine ladies.
Back to work soon as this is just part of the process and I'll have to post what the final piece looks like.
Cheers LouiseB.

New packaging and new cards

Getting more organized with my cards.  I actually have some professioal packaging now.

Here are some pictures..........LouiseB.
