Productive Sunday

Well after crafting yesterday I got  a few more thing in today.
I  have eight heating bags made today .  Its good to have a few saved for the holidays.
All cotton cloth with fresh herbs from my garden and  hand sewn.
Their great to keep at work or home when your looking for a little added warmth just heat them in the microwave for two minutes. People find they make great stocking stuffers or an addition to any gift basket.
I think I will be adding them to my Esty site when I get a few more.
Cheers everyone,

Craft Day

Today was a great day with the girls helping get some of their craft projects done for the holidays.
It was a sunny Autumn day and as always we cherish each others company.

We got started about 1030 a.m. with coffee and freshly made blueberry muffins from Gayle.
The company made it more fun to help  then to actually work on my own projects.
But as my friends fed me I think it was a very happy devision of labor.
We took a short break about 1pm  to feast on pasta and for desert a wonderfully rich cupcakes from Sue.
My friends Sue and Gayle are very industrious and it was like a little work shop humming along once we were fed.

Busy busy.
More coffee and wow the time has flown by.
Sue has completed a blanket, Gayle has made several potato bags and I have completed about 7 or 8 book thongs with cards.  I'll have to get some pictures of those later.
Packed everyone up and they head home.
What a great day.

Ready to go.

I have completed and boxed up the order of 24 cards to send to Olympia Washington. That is a great feeling of accomplishment.
I hope they like them enough to want more later.
What a lazy day now that this order is complete I will be concentrating on some handmade gifts for Christmas and some handcrafted heating bags filled with fresh sweet smelling herbs from the garden.
One of the ladies at work tells me that she loves the one she got from me last year.

A couple of friends and I are having our second annual craft day next Saturday.
We get together and work on different projects that we need some women power and atmosphere to complete.
You know get out of the house, chat and laugh with girlfriends.  Recharge our batteries and enjoy some good food as well.
This always a great way to spend the day  when you can I highly recommend it.
Cheers,

Rainey Day

Today I wake up to the sound of rain pouring down and soaking the world outside.
The rain gives me a great excuse to stay inside and create.  Lots of drawing going on.
As well as finishing up the last of my card order.
Some of the drawing is not typical and some of it because my friends have given me ideas.
Not a whole lot of jewelry making going on at the moment but that will come in its own time.
I find that my art is made in phases.  Sometimes there is a lot of drawing other times there is a lot of jewelry making.  Sometimes it goes in many different directions at once.
I think that emotion plays such a major part in the creative process.  If I'm not in the mood which is not very often the art process does not flow easily.  I'm sure others will agree with me on that.
Today however with the weather I have no desire to leave my home and deal with the world anymore then I have to.
Heres to enjoying the creative process and rainy days.

Creating fast and furiously

Today I am making cards for my fist order of 24.
This was  another exciting thing that happened to me thanks to participating in the Scrappers Expo.
I literally had the lady come and find me in the crowd to ask about my cards.
I guess you never know what will happen if you don't put yourself out there.
Ofcouse I choose to create while enjoying my coffee and a scary movie on TV.
It takes me back to how as a  kid I loved to spend my weekends.
